We are pleased to announce that HRV function is now being made available in the WIWE mobile application.
Measuring heart-rate variability (HRV) is a widespread protocol in Western-European and American cardiology circles. HRV indicates the natural fluctuation of the heart rate. In cases of arrhythmia, this fluctuation in the heart rate and heart frequency, is caused by some irregular functioning of the heart, such as the arrhythmia known as atrial fibrillation that increases one’s risk for stroke manifold. There are, however, such naturally occurring heart-rate fluctuations which, contrary to arrhythmias, are indicators of a healthy heart functioning. HRV provides useful information about the latter fluctuation, and this type of fluctuation mirrors the user’s general health and fitness status.
HRV scores calculated from WIWE measurements offer information about:
• one’s general health and fitness status
• the current status of one’s circulatory and nervous system
WIWE’s feedback on HRV includes a score (1-5) and a detailed graph with the main temporal parameters as well as a written interpretation:
In order to access this function, those who already use WIWE shall simply update the application in the App Store or Google Play or by visiting our website at https://mywiwe.com.au
